Ski Run and Terrain Map | Tasman Glacier

Most skiing on the Tasman Glacier is on wide, open slopes. The backdrop is dramatic - the highest peaks of New Zealand's Southern Alps tower above.

The Darwin Icefall and the Canyon Lands areas feature the surreal ice formations and caverns, which you can safely explore with your guide.

  • Highest landing: Tasman Saddle 2,500 metres
  • Lowest aircraft pick up: Malte Brun strip 1,500 metres

The Google Map shows an the Tasman Glacier in early summer. Through the winter there is much more snow cover, with most "holes" filled in.

Tasman Saddle Hut (2,435 metres), sits just below Cornice Wall landing strip. A popular base for summer climbing and winter ski touring.
